OK-I get it

I know I have not blogged in a long time, but life has been crazy. School has started (for me and Andrew), we had the AWANA kick-off and the first night, Jessica has moved into her own apartment (with supervision), I had surgery, Mamaw is in the hospital, and Jessica has a new boyfriend (please pray-he's 25 and an illiegal alien-if you get my drift)

I am still here.....I think

I know I said I would do better with blogging once I started back to school. Well, unfortunately that has not been the case. I want to apologize to all my fans out there. Anyway, here is what has been happening: Andrew started school Wednesday and if anyone knows how his day went let me know. We will not tell me anything. I asked him if he read and he commented, I already told you what we did.

I finally got to drive the car to work today, and no I did not wreck it. I love this new car. The mileage is great and it drives nice. It already needs a wash because when Duke went to work Monday, they were tearing out the parking lot and evidently dust was everywhere.

School has been non-stop for me. At first I did not have a computer, then I couldn't get my printer to work. Finally, a gentleman in our building figured out the printer problem, just in time for me to run out of ink. The building is in chaos and no one knows where the supplies are. I had to steal (you heard this christian right, steal) a cartridge from a printer that was not being used at the time. Well, I thought I was ready to actually get some work done and then low and behold-we ran out of paper. I cannot do my beginning of the year things without a computer, working printer, copier, and paper. Well, needless to say my co-part and I bought 6 reams of paper today just to get the paperwork to the teachers. Hopefully, next week will be better and I can actually get into some classes.

Anyway, I will be glad to get to do the AWANA training tomorrow and raise the tent. So, if any of you men are not going to be at training, but can be at church at 11:00 on Saturday to raise the tent, I would greatly appreciate it. Ask anyone you know to help.

One more time

Hey y'all, It's Duke and I am guest blogging for Kim. In the next couple of days we will be picking up our new car. It is a Honda Civic. We are all excited about the car(except Andrew, cause he wants a mustang). This one has to last for a lot of years. Wish us God's grace on this one.

Off to Work

Well, today is my first day back to work after having the summer off. And I had to be there earlier than normal. We usually have to be there at 7:15 and I try to get there by 7:00 (I need time to get myself to together and figure out what I am doing), but today we have to go here the Superintendent speak and the bus is boarding at 7:00, which means I need to get there before I normally do. Wish me luck. There are a lot of new changes and I have my work cut out for me for the next few days.

New Car...or Not

I wanted to post a picture of the new car we were in the process of buying. Yes I said were. No we did not change our minds. The dealership let us take it home Saturday sine the banks were closed and we hadn't got financed. We settled on a price and they offered to let us take it home. Why not, we were like kids in a candy shop. Sure we said. We both were uneasy about this but did not know what the other was thinking until later. Well, Duke called me Monday to pick him up from work and I was on my way. I guess the new bright white color was too much for the road. Anyway, I was crossing 21st from Ronald Reagan Blvd I looked down the street and right to my right side was a car. All I could do was scream. Yes, the car hit me. Everyone was alright and thank God Andrew was not with me. It demolished both passenger doors and that is where he sits. Anyway, no new car for now. We do not know whose insurance will cover it. Since I had a stop sign, it will probably be my fault. But since the car was not officially mine. I am not sure if it will be my insurance or the dealership's insurance. I am a little sore. the other driver was ok and he was able to drive his car. So I did not have time to take pictures. You will just have to use your imagination.

Another Answered Prayer

The doctor's office just called and said that my insurance has approved the surgery for my implant in my ear. So by December, I should be hearing much better and without hearing aids. Thank you God for answereing our prayers. I am sure everyone will be glad for me to hear better. Maybe I won't be so loud.

Answered Pray

Paula was at church yesterday. PTL!!!! She was glad to be there and I am so glad that so many people talked to her. She did not recognize many of the kids because they had grown so much. Those of you who knew her, please give her a call sometime this week. I think this will help encourage her to keep coming. Call me if you need her number.
